The Institute of Executive Development (IED) is a for-profit consulting business based in Palo Alto, CA and founded in 2004.

This mission is carried out is by distributing relevant and timely content to executives, line leaders and those who support their development including HR and executive development professionals. IED is known in the industry for its expertise in the field of executive development, its global network of practitioners and service providers, and for providing objective resources and knowledge from multiple sources. Content management on the IED Internet platform is essential to IED’s mission.
IED is hiring a part time Content Manager to work approximately 5-10 hours a week. The Content Manager will work mostly independently from their own location, and will have 2-3 hours of meetings with IED staff a month (phone and in person).
Responsibilities
• Review industry websites and publications to identify relevant content
• Scan variety of third-party sources on the internet to identify articles, books, white papers, meetings and events, etc.
• Select specific items that fit criteria for IED website
• Post new items on IED website weekly; write short summary of items and map to IED taxonomy
• Keep abreast of industry trends and make recommendations for new content sources and types of content
• Requires approximately 5-10 hours per week; work hours are very flexible

Requirements
• Web savvy with strong internet search skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Independent and able to work with minimal supervision
• Must have own computer, internet access, and work location
• Working toward a Bachelors degree required (current student or recent graduate)
• Interest and knowledge of business related topics and issues, especially those facing top leaders
