I am looking for a beginner cello teacher who can teach an adult the absolute basics. I recently purchased a secondhand cello with the goal to FINALLY learn to play the cello, and I am looking for someone to give me occasional (cheap?) weekly or biweekly lessons. I know how to read music -- or at least I did -- from playing the flute when I was younger, but I do not know anything about string instruments. At least I'd love to learn how to hold the cello, learn scales and eventually be able to play a song or two.
