Description: The web designer is responsible for improving the design of the Microsystems Laboratory web site: updating information, improving the accessibility to content, the organizing information, and improving aesthetics. The web designer will be supervised by the PhD candidate Clifton Roozeboom and by the primary investigator Beth Pruitt.

Time: A minimum of 20 hours. Pay $15/hr.

Qualifications: Preference will be given to Stanford students with a recognized work ethic who can commit to employment. Previous website development and coding experience desired but not required. Ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems.

Starting date: Spring 2012. Application deadline: May 4

Tasks:
1. Managing update of Stanford Microsystems website with input and content from lab members.
2. Verifying accessibility to content. Ensuring that password protected content is not open to the public and that public content is viewable by all users.
3. Improving overall design and aesthetic of web pages.
4. Integrating new web tools into site functionality.
