I’m a male in my mid-twenties and have been a Stanford affiliate for six years. Ideally I’d love to rent a room in the Faculty Ghetto (off Mayfield/Alvarado). Some place quiet (far enough from The Row to not hear their parties during the school year). Aside from tailgating on football gamedays at Stanford Stadium, I’m not a fan of noise. I’m a responsible and quiet person. As for the dynamics of the living situation, it’s what you wish to make of it. I’m very open. I can help with cooking and household chores, throw the baseball around with your kids. It’s important to me to stay active. I don’t want to be known just as the person renting a room, I’d hope to become a friend to your family. I’m not in a huge rush to move (perhaps by August or September). My parents live 20 miles south in Santa Clara County, so cutting down my commute would be ideal. It would be so nice to be able to bike to work (during the warmer months) and cut down on my driving. I have made just as many friends in the Stanford community as I have back home, so I’d definitely still be in my comfort zone if I were to live up here. My short-term goals (in terms of advancing in my career) have me at Stanford for the next two years or so. If you might have a room available for rent and would like to know more about me, please email me. We could definitely meet to see if I might be a good fit. Thank you.
