Hello,
I'm a 5th-year senior at Stanford studying Communication with a minor in Psychology. I am planning for a future career in interior design and home staging. I am also an exceptionally talented organizer and have tackled many a storage space, living room, apartment or attic both as the eldest child of an Air Force Captain (20+ moves) and as a peer assistant for many of my friends at Stanford who are either organizationally challenged or lack the motivation to arrange their lives in a way that provides them with the most space and functional appeal to maximize productivity.
Computers: As a personal assistant (and full-time Stanford student) I know my way around both Mac and PC operating systems and have no problem troubleshooting or organizing things digitally- editing photos, scanning receipts, etc.
Cleaning: I hesitate to call myself a housekeeper because my skillset extends far beyond heavy duty cleaning (though I am extremely thorough and hold a high standard when it comes to household chores) and I would prefer to work for an individual or family in Palo Alto (or possibly Menlo Park- closer to Stanford is better) who would appreciate the extra assistance of things like fitness motivation, tupperware organization, cleaning out your fridge, meal planning, rearranging furniture, selecting interior design options for paint, research assistance (whether that means help hiring someone at your business or for your home, or finding a good school for your child to attend), furniture, selling unneeded items on Ebay, Craigslist or SUpost, etc.
Driving: I do not have a car, but I do have a valid Colorado driver's license and a 100% clean record. Biking is my main method of transportation.
Children: I am the oldest of 3 and grew up babysitting for other military families. I do babysit but not full-time. I prefer helping with living space organization/ functional design or personal life decisions and/or problems.
Animals: I am also a very enthusiastic animal lover. The bigger the animal, the better. Cats, saltwater aquariums, reptiles, livestock, etc. are all fine. I have a lot of volunteer experience working with unusual animals, should you ever require help with your pets.
Special Diets and Food Prep: As a bonus I am following a mostly raw food, gluten-free diet this summer and plan to continue it, so families who want to eat healthy, I'm open to providing suggestions for healthy meals/snacks or assisting in food preparation.
Please contact me if you would like to ask me any additional questions or if you think you would like me to work with/for you. I charge $15 an hour, but it depends on the job. If it's absurdly easy/enjoyable (playing with your golden retriever puppy, unloading dishes, setting you up on a dating site, selling your couch) I won't over-charge you. If it's extremely dirty, difficult and painful (digging a hole in your backyard for the new pool) we would probably discuss $17.
You may email me via Craigslist or text my cell phone: (719) 352-9582. Look forward to meeting you.
