The web site at "Think beyond plastic" has just announced a contest for the most
innovative approach to changing behavior around the utilization of plastic (see
details at "http://thinkbeyondplastic.com/competition/apply/"). Our proposal is
unique in that it is an easily scalable program directed at the schools for the
purpose of education and personal engagement. We ask students and their extended
family to make personal pledges that they then can implement on a weekly/monthly
basis.
Dr. Patricia Speier of the U.C.S.F Psychiatry Department and Dr. Richard Kass of
the Stanford Graduate School of Business are principles in the project. If you
are interested in joining us for a small stipend and a chance to do good and
benefit from the $50,000 first prize award please contact me. Our primary need is
expertise in writing a business plan.
