Background Information:
An au pair is a domestic assistant from a foreign country working for, and living as part of, a host family. Typically, au pairs take on a share of the family's responsibility for childcare as well as some housework, and receive a small monetary allowance for personal use. In Europe, where the concept originated, au pairs are only supposed to work part-time, and they often also study part-time, generally focusing on the language of the host country, but in the United States, they are permitted to provide full-time childcare.
We are an au pair service providing company, and we are now seeking a Stanford student, who is willing to spend this summer (1 to 2 months) living in a nice family in Shanghai, China.
Duties:
1. Talk. The family has a daughter who is a junior in high school, and she wants to practice English!
2. Talk, again! The parents are well educated, and are working in financial industry. They will be very interested in listening to your ideas. Finance major preferred, but not required.
3. Light housework.
What we are providing:
1. All the fees (visa, air ticket, transportation, etc.)
2. Competitive monetary allowance for personal use.
3. Chinese culture experience!
Thank you!
