Hi there,

I'm a graduate aeronautics & astronautics student who took a year off to pursue my career, and I'm returning this fall to campus to continue my graduate degree. That said, I'm in need of housing for the academic year (at the very least mid-09/2013 until mid-06/2014 or throughout summer into the next academic year for a total of 2 years or so, dates can be flexible and worked out). An apartment, shared house, or a sublease anywhere near Stanford will do.

A little bit about me: I have a salaried position at a rocket launching company down in LA, and I will continue to have fixed income throughout the year (it'll be enough to pay reasonable rent and my tuition on time). I have a very good credit history, I don't have any sort of criminal history, I don't smoke anything, I don't come home wildly drunk, I'm male, I am clean and into keeping things shiny, pristine, and in good aromas, and I'm highly respectful. I've lived in about six different cities thus far in my relatively young life, so I'm a minimalist when it comes to living (i.e. I don't decorate or alter apartments at all--used to corporate housing by now). I also have a good sense of humor, despite the serious tone of this email. I got shafted on the graduate housing lottery, unfortunately.

I've sublet'd before as an undergraduate on campus for a summer doing oblique turbulent shockwave boundary layer interaction research (that took two years to get published it seems), and could tap the old owner for a referral if need be.

If you think I may be a good fit for your place, let me know! I'd be happy to discuss it with you some more. Feel free to ask me anything else about myself that you're curious about. Thanks!
