Hey! I'm a 23 year old male masters student in engineering and I'm new here. I'm living in EV and hoping to make some new friends.
So one thing I miss from my undergrad years is having friends who I can go somewhere outside with, sync our music on iPods/phones, put in earphones and just dance like no one is watching. It's good exercise. It's cathartic. It's just nice to have friends you can be silly with. We weren't trained dancers or anything (though we each had our signature moves), we just like to let the music take over ;) Sometimes it's kind of like silent karaoke with more space to move.
We would act out or dance to anything - celine dion, gaga, avicii, 70s electronic, cascada, 90s childhood songs, phantom of the opera, queen, david guetta, calvin harris.... anything with a good storyline or a good beat!! (Sometimes it helps to have a glass of wine first but that part is totally optional haha.) It's a bit of a rush. And it leaves you feeling like there is a lot right in this world (especially when people wave or laugh). Ok that was a bit melodramatic, but you get my point.
If you want to try it sometime (or if you don't but you think we would get along anyway), let me know! Guys or girls - doesn't matter - it's platonic. Let me know what sort of music you like to dance to. The only prerequisite is that you can move to the beat and be a bit theatrical in front of rando tourists (it's surprisingly easy when you're wearing headphones and aren't the only person being silly) :P Also... It helps a bit if you have a phone with spotify on it, and earphones ;)
