I am a 23 year old female employed full-time at Stanford. I currently live in San Francisco, but I am hoping to move to the area sometime before the end of the year. Ideally, I would like to live in Palo Alto or Menlo Park, but I am open to nearby areas (Portola Valley, Los Altos, Atherton, etc.) My budget for rent is $1000/month (without utilities) or $1100/month (with utilities). My move-in date would be October 1st, or any time after that.
I would love to live somewhere with an outdoor space, such as a patio or backyard. Although I am a huge animal lover, I do not own any pets, but I would be happy to live with someone who did. I like a place that is clean and tidy, but I am not a stickler. I am open to living with males or females, singles or couples, any sexual orientation, etc. However, I would prefer to live with people of a similar age (20s) and mindset (young, spontaneous, fun).
I am an active person who loves to be busy. My typical schedule is wake up at 6:30am, work from 8-5, some sort of post-work activity (softball, happy hour, dance class, bike ride, etc.), dinner, shower, relax, in bed by 11pm. On the weekends, I like to go on trips, visit family and friends, and take care of chores and errands. I really enjoy the outdoors- mountain biking, wakeboarding, skiing, hiking, etc. I "go out" to bars/clubs every so often, but I usually prefer having friends over to hang out and drink. I will likely be going to a lot of Stanford sporting events, especially football on Saturdays (go Cardinal!) When I'm at home, I enjoy reading, watching The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones, and attempting to cook if I'm in the mood.
Overall, I am an easy-going, open-minded roommate who can get along with a variety of personalities. I don't have to be best friends with my roommates, but would like to hang out, watch a movie, etc., once in awhile. I'm fun and social, but also responsible and respectful.
