Ever since I was little, I wanted to live in a loft. A loft with a staircase that would head upstairs and have a bedroom which would be quiet and cozy. The staircase would be like a fireman's staircase, nothing fancy, just have a way to come up (and down ha ha). I looked at a few houses which had a loft like arrangement but they fell through because I didn't have willing housemates who shared the passion of a loft. An ideal loft would also have massive glass windows. They are a plus but definitely not required. Kind of like the loft that Jennifer Anniston and Paul Rudd shared in the imaginatively titled movie Wanderlust in 2012. Funny story, that movie was one of my favorites but was near universally panned by critics. Critics can be so harsh to movies that are only supposed to make you smile. And if you like to smile and are looking for a room mate in a loft - let me know :)

Location doesn't matter. I feel that the love for staying in a loft transcends boundaries of location. We can also rotate as to who gets the isolated room on a monthly basis. San Bruno and 22nd Street have some good locations but that list is not exhaustive.
