Hi,

If you want to do something fun this winter, I'm looking for a person to share a sleeper train from San Francisco to Chicago. It's an Amtrak California Zephyr route, which goes from San Francisco to Chicago straight, and it's one of the most beautiful tracks in the States that runs across Rocky mountains and Mississippi River with spectacular views. You can see a photo journal to get a sense of what it's like: http://www.seat61.com/california-zephyr.htm#.UpBTlmQqfRY.

It's about 52 hour-long ride, and the roomette comes with two beds and free meals, drinks, and fruits all day. I'm planning to head off on Dec 15--the train departs from Emeryville, CA at 9:10am and arrives in Chicago 2:50pm, Dec 18. I'll be transferring to Lake Shore Limited line to my final destination, New York City.

The fare for the roomette is $570, so each person should pay for $285. If I don't find another person to share to roomette, I'm just going to go for a coach seat. There's only one roomette left at the moment, so if you're interested/want more information/certain that you want to go for this trip, shoot me an email ASAP!
