Are you a parent with a son or daughter who is 10-13 years old?

If so, you may be eligible to participate in a study of how early stress affects the way in which children think and process emotional information, as well as their brain functioning.

The study takes place in the Psychology Department at Stanford University. Your child will participate in an interview, fill out questionnaires, do computer tasks, and have a brain scan. Involvement in the study requires a time commitment of 2-5 hours over the course of one or two visits, with follow-up sessions scheduled 18-24 months later. We will schedule the sessions around your availability (daytime, evenings, or weekends are all fine).

Eligible parent-child pairs receive $20/hour for their time.

To be eligible for this study:
** you must have a son or daughter age 10-13
** you must be a US citizen or hold a Green Card
** you must read and speak English fluently
** you should have no immediate plans to leave the Bay Area
