You are an ambitious go-getter seeking first-hand experience at an early-stage startup. We are Barnacle, a peer-to-peer community founded by Stanford alumni that ships your most treasured possessions through a trusted network of drivers already en route between cities.
As part of this opportunity you will be working directly with the founding team. We are seeking an intern to evaluate our SXSW strategy
Requirements:
- Business savvy with strong communication skills
- Passion for entrepreneurship, innovation, and early-stage startups
- Visionaries with ideas strongly encouraged
- Social media outreach experience desirable
- Love of driving a plus
Depending on the business case and demonstrated progress, it may be necessary to do an onsite in Austin, in which case transportation and housing would be subsidized.
Duration:
Internship to cover the duration through SXSW. with the potential for advancement for exceptional candidates.

About Barnacle:
Barnacle is a crowdsourced shipping and transport community that lets you ship your most treasured possessions through a trusted network of drivers already en route between cities. Bulky or fragile items may be uneconomical to mail, or a hassle to wrap in packaging. Give them their own private seats in passenger vehicles.
Barnacle drivers may be regular commuters or individuals going on a road trip. All users are linked by their social network accounts to ensure that you are working with people you trust. For additional security, we offer an option for insurance coverage on each delivery.
