We are two PhD candidates in the Mechanical engineering at Stanford and we recently started a clinical retrospective study in collaboration with the School of Medicine to study Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) and we are looking for an undegrad/grad student who wants to get involved.
The purpose of the study is to characterize the disease from an engineering standpoint by running fluid dynamic and solid mechanics simulations.
The project lacks funding at the moment as we are hoping to get preliminary data in order to apply for a grant. The current benefits of working with us are gain of experience of the sleep apnea space and engineering stand point, official recognition (publications, for example) and contacts in the field of Medicine of Ear-Nose-Throat.
If you are interested email us, we could figure out a mutually beneficial arrangement .
