Dr. Greg Walton, Geoffrey Cohen, and Omid Fotuhi are working on an initiative to reduce the achievement gap in our educational system. We are designing an intervention study to help increase college admission rates among low-income and minority students using a mobile app delivery.
For this, we are seeking an android and iOS app developer who is can help program with geo-fence triggering algorithms to push content and notifications to participants at particular times or places. The ideal candidate would also have the expertise to develop a web portal for both researchers and participants.
This is an exciting project with the prospect of creating an intervention that can help students have better access to post-secondary education. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspect of the study, and would be included in relevant publications for this project in top-psychology and education journals.
We hope to fill this position by April 31st. The duration of the internship is 3 months, with the opportunity to continue working with our group on a part-time or full-time basis (pending budget approval).
If interested, please send your CV, copy of transcript, and a short cover letter to omidf@stanford.edu.
Best,
Omid Fotuhi
