“My advisor told me to run a ______ test. What’s that?”
“How many subjects will I need?”
“R is not working, and I can’t Google it because it’s only one letter.”
“Help! Something is wrong with my data!”
I am a biostatistician in the Stanford University School of Medicine and have been a Stanford Statistics Department consultant and a Stats 60 TA. I hold a Statistics MS and Psychology BA.
I can help with any part of the dissertation or honors thesis process:
• Consult on study design (collect the right data the first time)
• Run custom power simulations
• Answer your statistics questions, including the embarrassing ones, in plain English
• Solve your R headaches
• Analyze your data: descriptive statistics, dimension-reduction (e.g. principal components), linear modeling, nonparametric tests, fancier stuff, etc.
• Help you interpret your statistics correctly (there’s more to it than p<.05)
• Create highly informative, sleek statistical graphics (no more clunky SPSS bar graphs)
• Critique your manuscript for statistics issues before a reviewer does
Whether you just need a little advice or want me to analyze your data, I’d be happy to help!
