My daughter is starting full time pre-school so our amazing nanny will become available starting July 1.
Alma has been with us for 2.5 years taking care of my 4 year old daughter and it’s been a great journey. Alma is caring, warm, intelligent, dedicated and has genuine love to be with children. My daughter loves her deeply and often asks for her during the weekend.
One of the things I also value from Alma (I work full time) is that she is very open and honest with me in terms of my daughter's behavior, developmental needs, or her own likes and dislikes etc. She is also very respectful in cases where we have differences of opinions and will follow my lead. This open communication makes me feel that I am always aware of what is happening with my daughter although I may not be there physically with her.
My husband spends some time at home and can attest to the incredible interaction between my daughter and Alma. It also gives me comfort that my neighbors constantly remind me how well Alma takes care of my daughter.
Given my family's hectic schedule, Alma has always been very flexible and willing to stay late (sometimes with very short notice). She is also very punctual and dependable. Although not required, Alma will often do light cleaning, vacuum and laundry around the house.
Alma was recommended to me by our neighbor, and prior to that she was taking care of twins. Alma has a driver license. Her native language is Spanish and understands English.
