My wife and I are moving our 2 small children to a lovely new home in Castro Valley at the end of July, but our lease agreement does not allow pets. So we will not be able to take our 15-year old cat Cidney with us.

Cidney is a sweet and mellow cat. She can take some time to warm up to new people and surroundings, but is extremely loving when she gets acclimated. Her last check-up was in late June and she is in pretty good health for her age. Cidney is also de-clawed so she would need to be an indoor cat.

I was in the process of posting a "free to a good home" ad on Craig's List for Cidney when I read an informative PETA warning about placing these ads (http://www.craigslist.org/about/PETA). Our family does not want to risk any of the horrible things described to happen to her and we were hopeful a posting to SUPost would help us find safe home for Cidney. We want to do our best to ensure Cidney's next home is a loving one.

We currently live in the Hayward, CA area and very flexible with respect to arranging times to meet.
