We are a startup company located in Silicon Valley. We're looking for a great CTO (Co-Founder) to join the next big EdTech Company!
The desired candidate is someone who is passionate and motivated and familiar with start-up life and can manage and lead a small team of Java and Android developers.
The desired CTO will be part of a great team of co-founders and high-level Silicon Valley advisers and preferably passionate about Education Technology world. The person will be part of decision making process of the company.
Added to the fact the person shall bring vision and architecture to the team, also the person shall:
· Manage the technical team and new future hiring
· Platform selection and technical design
· Initiate and own development methodology
· Collaborate in a team environment to share knowledge and learning
· Perform code review and analysis
· Developing new libraries and applications mainly in Java
· Debug code / working with 3rd Party Hardware
· Initiate the architecture and lead the development of an Android App from scratch, using already produced libraries/interfaces
Desired skills are not limited but:
· Previous experience in writing/debugging desktop Java applications that run on multiple platforms (Windows, Mac, Linux, etc.)
· Experience in Java programming is a plus, or if not at least experience in a similar language (C#, Python, etc.) is required
· Java Android App development
· Experience in networked real-time applications is a plus (e.g. Games, Collaboration software, Chat, etc.)
· Experience with Linux/Unix servers is desirable
· Experience with PHP & Server applications is desirable
· Experience with Integrated Learning Environments (Preferably Moodle) is desirable
· Experience in developing sophisticated and automated back-end/cloud-based server systems is a huge plus
· Experience in managing continuous integration infrastructure is a huge plus
· Excellent time management skills
· Passionate about technology
