I have found that most photographers charge an arm and a leg, one way or another. With me, you pay for an hour and you receive 15+ photos edited on a CD. You then have the rights to those photos. This means, that you can order photos from where you want- CVS, shutterfly, from my site, etc. My flat fee means you don't pay for packages that don't quite fit your needs. I currently have a deal that if you book with me for the month of October you will receive 10% off. If you want more than an hour shoot, no problem. I charge per 1/2 hour after the first hour.
