I am a graduate student in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at Stanford seeking new tutees. I also attended Stanford as an undergraduate, completing a degree in Civil Engineering, where I was a tutor for the Center for Teaching and Learning. My academic experience has made me familiar with technical topics in algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and beyond, as well as calculus-based physics, material science, economics, and other topics. Further, having graduated from one of the finest public schools in the country, University High School in Tucson, AZ, I have a deep foundation in liberal arts disciplines, everything from American government and history, to the history of Western civilizations, and an advanced proficiency in English (I scored a 5 on both the English language and literature AP exams). Finally, I am a native speaker of Spanish, with five years of coursework to supplement that knowledge, and have studied Mandarin Chinese for four years, with a published short story translation through the Modern Chinese Language and Culture Center at Ohio State University.

I feel comfortable tutoring students in any of the aforementioned areas or topics, in addition to being excellent at advising students regarding test preparation (SAT, GRE, ACT, and FE in particular) and general study habits. I am enrolled in only ten units per term, which leaves me with an open schedule most evenings (aside from Wednesday) and all day on the weekends. I have my own vehicle, and am able to drive to you, though towns in and around the Stanford area are my preferred locations, so we may arrange to convene there as a central meeting place if necessary. Please reply to this listing via the SUpost correspondence box provided, and I will respond to you promptly about your needs or those of your student.
