I will be starting at Stanford as a postdoc from November 1. I am looking to rent a room in a house (ok with private/shared bathroom). I am ok with a long term lease, although I would prefer a month-to-month or a 6 month lease. Ideally looking for something within (daily) biking distance of Stanford (< 8 mi).
About me : I recently graduated with a PhD from Caltech in Materials Science. I am outgoing, chatty and enjoy making new friends. I have always stayed with people and have no problems sharing chores/responsibilities. I am clean and don't smoke.
I love being outdoors. I have mountaineered a lot in the Sierra Nevada mountains (winter and summer), run and road bike regularly and also enjoy ultimate frisbee. Traveling to new places and trying out local cuisine, beer and being a part of a new culture is something I greatly enjoy too.
