Hi there,
My name is Alison. My husband and I live in Palo Alto - I'm a musician/artist/masters student at Stanford's Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics (CCRMA: https://ccrma.stanford.edu/) and he works for the City of Palo Alto - and we've recently acquired a 1988 Blue Bird school bus. The interior has been converted into a living space (brightly painted, sleeps five, has heating, toilet/shower, fridge, stove/oven, etc.), and our dream is to, by September, ditch our exorbitantly priced one-bedroom for a more magical space.
As with any great love affair, however, our time with the Bluebird so far has been tumultuous: she's currently languishing in Livermore, waiting for repairs. Once she's roadworthy again, we still need to find a place for her to stay while we make the alterations she'll need to safely house two humans, a blind cat, and a small parrot.
I'm afraid we're at a bit of a loss on that front, so we're reaching out: does anyone have or know of a space where we might be able to temporarily park our bus while we plan our next steps? We would be happy to pay rent in cash, food, chores (gardening, pet-sitting, etc.), songs written about you, or any combination thereof!
Please let me know: arush@stanford.edu
Best wishes,
Alison
