I’m looking for a reliable person who can help us with occasional afternoon babysitting for our three children.
In the immediate future, I need someone who can help us for four afternoons August 18-21 while I am out of town for work. For these four days, we need someone who can be there when the older kids (ages 8 and 6) come home from school at 2:45, drive them to sports practices in Palo Alto, pick up the youngest (age 2) from daycare, and provide a casual evening meal (i.e., minimal cooking, basically microwaving pre-cooked meals or takeout) before my husband comes home from work around 7:00-ish. We live on Stanford’s campus in Escondido Village and our children’s schools are also on campus in easy walking distance. For driving we could provide our car or pay gas.
After August 18-21 there will be other times when I’m away for conferences and the like. Plus, there’s always the occasional afternoon when I need help. If I can find a good person for August 18-21, there will be more work in the future :-).
Ideally it would be someone who lives locally or even on campus.
