The Wall Lab at Stanford University is seeking an energetic and highly motivated student to assist with data abstraction for one of our clinical studies.

Lab and Study Info:

http://wall-lab.stanford.edu/

The Wall Lab is part of the Department of Pediatrics and the Division of Systems Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine. We are a bioinformatics lab that focuses on translating the thinking of systems biology to the field of autism genetics with the intent to develop effective early-stage diagnostics and targets for therapeutic intervention, using computational tools of systems biology, machine learning and network interference. This opportunity is for our Autism Glass pilot study, which explores the utility of using Google Glass as a novel platform for delivering behavioral therapy to children with autism.

Position and Qualifications:

We are seeking a student to fill an unpaid intern position, digitizing clinical measures for the 42 participants in our pilot study. This student must be able to work independently and pay great attention to detail. Previous experience with research or familiarity with autism could be beneficial, but are not required. Hours are flexible between normal business hours, with the expectation of a minimum of 5-10 hours per week. The projected length of this work is roughly 2-3 months, with the possibility of staying on to assist with additional research projects in the lab.
