Seeking research support (paid hourly) for short-term project with flexible hours and timeline.
TASKS
--Develop web scraping tools to identify classified ads based on a set of keywords (provided ahead of time by me).
--Generate classified ads with the following content: (a) date scraped; (b) list of keywords found in the ad; (c) full content of the ad
--Repeat tasks above across multiple websites with classified ad sections
--Meet on campus 1-2 times to debrief about project progress
SKILLS
--Previous experience with Python or JavaScript
--Previous experience with web scraping
--Ability to document code and procedures used
--Ability to read Spanish preferred but NOT required
This project will document trends relevant for SOCIAL SCIENCE, PUBLIC POLICY, and CURRENT EVENTS.
