Moved here to take a job as a research assistant at Stanford some months ago. I've not done a very good job of getting out there to meet people and my lack of social life has started to bother me. Used to have a great group of intelligent, interesting friends I'd meet up with for everything from serious intellectual conversations to late-night partying (and subsequent hangover brunches), but now they're a couple thousand miles away. Would love to find some new people I can have that with.

A bit about me: I'm male and 23 years old, ideally looking for some people who are also in their early or mid-twenties. I'm really into anything related to social sciences but would be happy to meet people with a variety of interests. I find I can get along with anyone who's passionate about some topic, be it academic or otherwise. I'm generally a very cynical person. Love talking politics. I enjoy watching movies, especially indie and foreign films. Big fan of podcasts. Love drinking good craft beers and decent wines.
