Tinker Kitchen is a makerspace for food hackers to learn and experiment with cooking. We are a teaching and community kitchen where “food hackers” can explore the art of making amazing food, learn the science of cooking, and try out cutting-edge cooking techniques and tools generally only available for commercial or artisanal use.

Since its founding in early 2015, over 100 people have participated in Tinker Kitchen’s cooking workshops, corporate events, meetups, and cooking labs. Tinker Kitchen is currently expanding its operations to open its first dedicated commercial space in the SF Peninsula.

Marketing & Community Engagement Intern

We are looking for a Marketing & Community Engagement intern who will work with the Founder to develop and execute a strategy to connect with local food hackers and grow the Tinker Kitchen community.

You will be responsible for:

Finding interesting content about recipes, food trends, kitchen equipment, cooking techniques
Building our brand and engaging with the food community on our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts
Creating blog content that expresses our love of food and cooking gadgets
Coming up with creative ways to build our online presence and connect with fellow food hackers

The position requires ~ 5-10 hours per week. You should have a passion for food, cooking, and community, excellent written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and be self-motivated, creative and flexible. Fluent in social media and able to geek out over food and cooking.
