We are recruiting research subjects for a scientific study. Your participation will help improve our understanding of how muscle changes with age.
Research has shown that muscle size and speed decrease with age, which can impair mobility and independence and is a leading cause of disability.
The purpose of this study is to investigate muscle properties in adults of different ages to help better understand the process of losing muscle function with age. We will use an injectable microscope contained within two flu shot-sized needles to look at muscle contractions in the thigh.
Recruiting: Adults (65-85 years old), especially those that feel they have lost substantial strength with age.
Qualified participants will receive compensation for attending a one-time study (3 hour maximum) at Fogarty Institute for Innovation in Mountain View.
For more information, contact: Kate Montgomery at kate@zebramedtech.com (preferred) or (315) 323-2296.
