Do you know a child or adolescent between 9 and 17 years old?
Have they been sad or lost interest in his/her activities? Do they struggle with unhealthy eating habits?
If so, they may be eligible to participate in a study to understand how appetite and mood are related.
All participants will receive as much as $325 for completing the study.
To be eligible for this study, they must:
o Be between the ages of 9-17
o Express sad moods or loss of interest
o Struggle with unhealthy eating habits
o Not have any metal on or in their body
o Be able to come in for 3 separate 6-8 hour visits over 2 years
This research involves a clinical evaluation, cognitive tests, blood work and MRI brain scans.
This study takes place at Stanford's Department of Psychiatry.
