The Department of Psychiatry at Stanford University is recruiting 18-21 year old youth to participate in a paid research study on sleep and mood.
The study has three parts:
(1) One visit by parent and youth to our lab where you will both complete interviews and questionnaires.
(2) Two nights of sleep assessment in your home. Trained members of our team will set up a device that measures your youth’s sleep in your home, then leave. We pick up the device the following morning.
(3) Three weeks in which your youth completes a brief daily diary (under 15 min per day) using his/her cell phone and wears a special wristwatch.
You and your youth will receive up to $215 for completing the study.
To be eligible for this study:
** Youth must be between the ages of 18 and 21
** Parent must be willing to participate in the interviews and questionnaires
** Parent/youth must be U.S. citizen or hold a Green Card (for payment)
** Parent/youth must read and speak English fluently
