About this job: The Cyber Social Project at the Department of Communication is looking to hire a Mac OS X application developer.
Job description: We need help working on an application that gathers laptop usage data for comparison with data being collected from other media systems. The project team will work closely with the developer regarding the specifications of the application. The larger project is combining information from laptops, smartphones, and information from locations and movement apps to learn about the interdependence of different life experiences.
Qualifications: Experience in developing Mac OS X applications. Familiarity with bash, AppleScript, and launch daemons. Some experience with Xcode desirable but not required.
Commitment and compensation: The job begins immediately and may continue until the application is completed. The time commitment is expected to be 10 - 15 hours per week. $25+/hr, based on experience.
