I am looking for a junior or senior undergraduate student to help me with research on banking in New England in the 1870s and 1880s. The idea is to work through hand written bank examiner reports and enter all relevant information in Excel.
Ideal background:
- Junior or Senior
- Interested in both economics and history; e.g. econ major with an interest in history or a history major with an interest in the development of capitalism
- Proficiency in excel
- Good with deciphering hand writing; example attached to this email
Time commitment:
- 12 hours a week, hours flexible
Pay:
- Standard Stanford pay for undergraduate students: $19.35/hour
