Project Introduction:
The Ford Motor Company wants to improve people’s in-car health and wellness. Our team wants to apply a visual identification system on side-window to occupy kids with outside world so they won’t distract their parents when they are driving, especially during a long trip. The basic function of this system is when kids are curious about one object outside the car, they can just click on the side window and the system will identify what is the object and give a feedback about it to kids.
We plan to install a high-quality camera outside the car to take the real-time panoramic photos first. And then, we need gain the specific area in the panoramic photo which is same with the view seen by kids inside the car through the side-window (view-mapping). Then the object in the specific area can be recognized. Now we can obtain the relative coordinates of left eye, right eye and four corner of side-window inside car. We need someone to help us complete view-mapping part and segmentation part.
Requirements:
1. Experience in Computer Vision
2. Proficiency in Python
3. Camera calibration
Benefits:
1. Get paid!
2. Work on a project sponsored by Ford Motor Company!
3. Gain experience and skills with a real project!
4. Great networking!
5. Great project to add to your portfolio!
