Position: Lab Assistant in Dr. Virginia Winn’s lab
Job description: Working in Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology laboratory that works on human placental biology and obstetrical complications such as preeclampsia. Student will assist lab manager Dr. Narasimhan with lab tasks that may include: cell culture, molecular and imaging experiments, managing database and biospecimens, solution preparation, autoclaving, etc.
Qualifications:
*Basic biology and chemistry knowledge
*Attention to details
*Prior lab experience beneficial but not necessary
*Working knowledge of excel and power point and endnote
*Experience with RedCAP, Flow Jo or File Maker Pro beneficial but not necessary
*Excellent communications skills and an eager learner is beneficial.
Hours: 10-12 hours/week, variable/flexible)
