The Baxter Laboratory for Stem Cell Biology seeks a talented research assistant to perform bench-level experiments as part of a team investigating the mechanisms underlying stem cell, nuclear reprogramming, epigenetic regulation, gene and drug therapy for a mouse model with cardiac and muscular dystrophy. Do you want to be part of the stem cell revolution in regenerative medicine? Are you highly motivated, talented, creative? We are seeking candidates to conduct cutting edge stem cell research in a stimulating and fun environment. Candidate will perform bench-level experiments as part of a team investigating the mechanisms of regulation of muscle stem cell fate in treating disease using mouse models for translation to patients. We are seeking an energetic, bright, motivated individual with longterm interest in science. Specifically, perform experiments, generate constructs and cell lines, bioengineer materials, document, compile and analyze experimental data; troubleshoot; provide oral and written reports of experiments; attend team meetings for experimental planning and review. Major responsibilities will include work with stem cells, animal models and assays of heart and muscle function. Assist in the design of experiments, provide support with general laboratory maintenance and compliance with health and safety policies.
