I am a 34 year old Swedish visiting scholar at Stanford, environmental science. I am looking for private housing until end of may or june. Move-in is flexible, from now until mid-march.

I prefer walking or biking distance to campus, but I am also interested in something in the hills, closer to hiking and biking trails, I do hope to avoid highway commuting.

I am looking for something relatively private, with kitchen and access to laundry. An outdoor space is a big plus. A cottage or small house would be ideal, but I am also open for other types of housing, I am not looking for a room in a shared house though. My budget is set by my current grant and I intend to try to stick to that, it would, at most, allow costs up to 3200 or so, depending on the space and location.
