The Center for Design Research is looking undergraduate research analysts to participate in video analysis of team interactions. The research analysis would support the National Science Foundation funded 'Mapping High-Performance Design Team Genome’ project and the corporate-sponsored Design Team Dynamics project at the Center for Design Research. You will be trained to analyze behavioral dynamics of engineering design teams using video. You will then assist researchers in coding team interaction data and participate in data analysis.
Analysts will be paid $17 per hour, for part-time 10-hours per week for winter and spring quarters, and a full-time internship during summer.
Prior experience in product design, or design thinking is desirable.
This is an excellent opportunity to get hands-on research experience in engineering design research. You will get to interact with faculty and staff conducting cutting-edge studies, and participate in developing metrics for design performance in real-world corporate teams.
The position will be partially funded by the National Science Foundation and hence you need to be a US citizen, US national or permanent resident to apply.
Please contact me if you are interested in this opportunity. Please apply before February 15, 2017 to be considered for the position.
