The Section of Neuroradiology is seeking a full time LSRA to provide technical support in the Wintermark lab, (http://med.stanford.edu/neuroimaging.html) whose primary focus is to test new imaging modality to understand inflammation in stroke, epilepsy and brain tumors. We use rodent models of stroke, epilepsy and brain tumors, combined with imaging techniques including magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), magnetic particle imaging (MPI) and MR-guided focused ultrasound.

The LSRA will support defined projects in the lab and be primarily responsible for performing rodent breeding and genotyping, tissue sectioning, histology preparation and staining, FACS analysis, and some minor surgeries in rodents, preferably with some experience in both mice and rats. Other duties include rodent perfusion, cell culture, maintenance of the lab and surgery room, and general lab support as needed. Tissue culture experience also a plus.
