Hi good people of Stanford,
Curious if anyone has access to a soldering iron I could use. I recently spilled a lot of water on my laptop. As I took it apart to dry, I accidentally broke one of the battery connections. Totally something I’d do! Someone who looked at it said it was the grounding. After several weeks, my laptop has dried and now powers on! But it won’t work without the charger connected. I’d love to solder the battery connection and see if it fixes the problem. If you have access to a soldering iron, and can provide some general guidance on how to do it, I’d appreciate your kind help! I’m by no means an expert at this. I’ve done a little bit of electronics including soldering to set up experiments in the past, but it’s been a while!
Thanks!
