We are looking for an undergraduate to help with the building of a vacuum chamber for a frugal electron microscope currently being developed in the lab of Prof. Manu Prakash. Availability required is 3-5 straight hours every month.
No prior experience necessary -- we are primarily looking for an extra pair of hands. The work does require some upper body strength as parts of the setup can be quite heavy.
Candidates will gain some experience with vacuum apparatuses and techniques. Helping out can lead to further involvement in the project (e.g., in the form of an REU).
Pay is $15 per hour.
