Hello!
I'm Coby, a 25 y/o transfer student moving from Philadelphia to finish my BS in Human Bio.
I am seeking housing ASAP (no later than a 9/12 move-in) for at least the next 9 months, though I would prefer a full-year lease.
My budget is:
$1500 for apartments within a 20 minute bikeride from Stanford
(Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Mountain View) or
$1250 if it's within a 20 minute drive
(Belmont to Santa Clara) because then I'd have to spend money on a car.
I've prepared a pretty lengthy bio which I've included below. The first part of this bio includes short descriptors, whereas the second part is a more lengthy description. Feel free to read as much or as little as is helpful.
Personality = mellow, laid back, playful, easygoing, compassionate, honest, trustworthy, altruistic, systematic, grounded, intellectual,
Work = healer, business-minded, science, learning, integrative/proactive medicine,
Creativity = musician, singer, dancer, pianist, performer, actor
Fun = go out, museums, cook, board games, video games, tarot cards, yoga, bike, explore nature, camping, kayaking, spending time with good friends, etc...
tl;dr: if this sounds good to you already, don't hesitate to contact me @ (610) 517-9309. Feel free to read on if you'd like more info ^_^
I've always gotten along best with nerds (that like to have meaningful intellectual conversations,) artists of all types (that are able to see, feel, understand, and convey subtle energy), and caretakers that can empathize with compassionate vibrations, understanding my openness as a strength rather than a vulnerability. I want to manifest a nurturing home that fosters peace and support through continual compassionate communication.
At school and at work I am very type A, and I am always balancing several stressful projects at a time, so when I return to my sanctuary I desire a peaceful respite with supportive people. As far as house maintenance, I find that agreeing upon a system of some sort is the best way to follow up on house obligations. I am hoping for roommates that are clean and tidy, but not ones that are so uptight that a big scene will be made anytime anything is out of place. I am always conscious to keep shared space clean and tidy, but my bedroom can get pretty cluttered.
About me: First and foremost I am a healer. I facilitate healing in the body through massage and Reiki, and I am in the ongoing process of learning about Ayurveda--an ancient Indian medical system. I am currently an incoming premedical student at Stanford, and ultimately, I hope to integrate my knowledge in an intergrative / holistic medical practice while influencing our health policy.
I am also a Virgo, and tend to fall pretty true to our creed. I can be very personable one-on-one and in smaller groups, but I tend to become a bit of a wallflower in larger groups--preferring to allow the chronicle to unravel itself. I'm also planning on trying out for some singing groups on campus, so I will often hum or sing around the house (but mostly in my room.) In shared space, you will probably find me dancing or stretching in the kitchen while cooking/preparing food.
Because we are expected to label things in this diverse country, I most closely identify as a queer cis-male (although I definitely embrace my inner goddess). And I am absolutely open to all genders and sexualities.
I am slightly allergic to pets, although I've always had cats and I love dogs, so pet owners are still welcome as long as it is accepted that my bedroom is off-limits to our furry friends so I don't have to sleep amongst the allergens. The most important thing for me is to find good people to share space with.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon!
