I invented a new type of headphones for stopping unwanted noise. I’m in the rapid prototyping and customer testing phase, and am looking for people who are impacted by unwanted noise to try them out.
Unlike active noise cancelling (ANC) headphones (Bose, Sony, Beats, etc.) which stop steady sounds, these new headphones also stop intermittent sounds like conversations and construction sounds that ANC headphones cannot eliminate. This is done by inhibiting the human auditory system’s ability to hear them, rather than cancelling out the noise like ANC attempts to do.
I'm a Stanford alum, Ph.D. applied physics. I work in an open office and on Caltrain and made these headphones to help me concentrate in noisy spaces. This is my second startup. More info on me is here: https://www.linkedin.com/in/ncizek/
