Location: Department: Pediatrics - Neonatology, Medical School Office Bldg
Duration: 10-16 hours per week, available 2-3 days per week

Professor Gary Shaw and his team on Birth Defect Study to Evaluate pregnancy exposureS (BDSTEPS) is seeking a student to work as a part-time research assistant. Professor Shaw, has been conducting epidemiologic research of human birth defects for >30 years. Dr. Shaw has collaborated with many key researchers in the field of birth defects and has published >450 scientific papers.

The research assistant will be part of the outgoing communication with the participants in the study.

Responsibilities include:
Prepare outgoing mailing to new participants in the study
Follow up with existing participants
Collaborate with project manager and update contact data base
Coordinate and manage office supplies

Requirements:
Strong commitment to excellence and attention to detail
Excellent computer skills, particularly Excel and Word
