Learning & Memory Research Study Seeking Healthy Volunteers
The Biobehavioral Pediatric Pain Lab at Stanford University School of Medicine wants to better understand learning and memory in youth suffering with chronic pain. We need children, adolescents, and young adults (ages 10-24, specifically 10-17) who are healthy, not taking any medications, and do not have any metallic dental implants.
Study visits involve:
• two 1.5-hour sessions and one 1-hour session at Stanford University School of Medicine
• filling out surveys
• brief sensory testing to touch
• sweat monitoring upon presentation of pictures and sounds
• ~45-minute MRI scan on second day of the visit
Compensation includes:
• $50 Amazon Gift Card at behavioral visit(s) and $100 at imaging session
• Brain pictures from the scan
By volunteering, participants will be contributing to medical research on the understanding of learning and memory in patients with chronic pain. Participants may choose to stop participating at any time during the visit.
