Looking to get a head start on college applications? Feeling overwhelmed by the essay writing process? Don't know where to begin?

As a recent graduate, I am very familiar with the college application process and can help break down essay writing into approachable, feasible steps. I graduated from Stanford with an M.A. in Anthropology and a B.A. (double major) in Classics and Archaeology, and completed two honors theses. Over the last three years, I have worked part-time as a primary instructor, teaching assistant, tutor, academic advisor, and resident assistant at Stanford. I have significant experience helping students to brainstorm essay ideas, outline compelling arguments, gather evidence, and develop their own academic style of prose. I value delivering constructive, detailed feedback to help students submit polished essays to their dream colleges.

Having studied anthropology, I understand how identity and personality shape each student’s unique learning style. I am comfortable connecting with students from a wide range of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, as well as different age groups and academic levels. It’s important to me to work with students and their families to develop a learning plan that is effective for each individual and that ensures measurable results. At the end of the day, I care about empowering students to not only excel academically, but also strive for intellectual vitality and accomplish their goals. I am currently based in San Diego, but am happy to set up appointments over Skype and offer electronic feedback on essay drafts. Please message me if you have any questions or inquiries about rates.
