The Department of Athletics is seeking an Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator. Reporting to the Director, Athletic Training, you will be working cohesively and collaboratively with Pac-12 athletic conference representatives, Stanford athletic trainers, physical therapists, researchers, and world-renowned physicians to coordinate multiple research projects that seek to enhance the health and safety of student-athletes. You must be an effective communicator, passionate about wellness and scholar-athleticism, skilled in data analysis. While managing Stanford’s participation in multiple research programs, you will also build relationships and effectively impact staff as a collaborator.


Your responsibilities will include:

Pac-12 Care Affiliated Project (CAP) Data Coordinator
o Manage Stanford’s participation in a research program utilizing eye tracking technology to aid head injury diagnosis.
o Identify and assure full training of Stanford personnel on the EYE-SYNC platform.
o Assure consistent, clean, and uniform data collection using the EYE-SYNC platform.
o Work with Pac-12 and university personnel to obtain approvals for Data Sharing and Data Use Agreements using documents provided by the Pac-12.
o Maintain the EYE-SYNC units in good condition.
o Provide regular updates to the Pac-12 Brain Trauma Task Force.

Pac-12 Sports Injury Registry Management and Analytics Program (SIRMAP) Campus Administrator
o Manage Stanford's participation in a research database program documenting trends in sports injuries.
o Provide quality control of patient data, ensuring proper field completion of sports injury documentation.
o Work closely with SIRMAP Research Coordinator to manage the SIRMAP database, system queries, and communication
o Implement and troubleshoot study design and data collection protocols.
o Establish working relationships with Stanford staff and other campus administrators to maintain quality control procedures.

Additional Responsibilities
o Assist with other research projects sponsored by the PAC 12 conference.
o Assist with additional research projects taking place within Stanford Sports Medicine.
o Serve as administrator for Stanford Sports Medicine's electronic medical record and scheduling platforms.
o Other duties as assigned

Please note: This is a one-year fixed-term position, with the possibility of being renewed on an annual basis, based on performance and funding availability.
