Hello,

I am looking to lease my horse out to someone who can have a great time with her for a year. I graduated this year and am moving to another state for a one-year visiting position.

Asa [Ah-Suh] is a 15-year-old, Arabian mare, who stands at 14.2h. With her innate beauty, wonderful temperament, Asa has been my loving companion. I have been riding Asa over the past 5 years on the trail naturally with a bareback pad, and a bit less bridle and halter. Asa also is a barefoot horse who has been living in the pasture. I believe she would do well in many equine disciplines, but has mostly done Pleasure/Trail riding. Asa is a sensible mare and I feel very safe with her exploring new trails with just the two of us. She is great to ride in a group, as well! Asa is very calm and loves to go on long rides in the mountains, and fields. She is relaxed and sweet with her vet and farrier.

Before she came to me in 2014, she had been loved by a teenage girl and her two little sisters in Colfax near Sacramento. Asa had been ridden in western and bareback, and the girl experimented with jumping. I hired a dressage rider to train her for 3 months while I was traveling in 2014-15, and leased her out to an English rider in 2017-2018. We were very pleased with how quickly she caught on and enjoyed doing it.

It is very important to me that Asa finds a person who will love her as the nature of my career at this moment doesn't allow me to give the best care she deserves. She is located at an amazing barn in Los Altos Hills with three arenas and great trails.

**Leasing fee is negotiable depending on your riding skill ($0-$400).
