User Experience Research Assistant (REMOTE)
We are looking for a research assistant to support for our bi-weekly UX testing program. Our lab based test session are scheduled to occur every other Wednesday, beginning October 16th and run through the end of the year (note: this may be extended).
Required hours per 2 week test round to be approximately 10 hours
All duties can be performed remotely.
Responsibilities:
Observing usability testing sessions, taking verbatim notes, and providing detailed transcripts at the end of each test day
Remotely attending and documenting design sync meetings
Assisting with user testing documentation preparation
Assisting with report documentation
Requirements:
Availability to observe usability test sessions and take verbatim notes every other Wednesday beginning 10/16
Interest in general research and/or user research methods
Excellent observation and written communication skills
Detail-oriented and ability to be responsive to varying needs and changing priorities
Skill/Experience/Education:
Mandatory: Educational background in Psychology, Sociology, Ethnic Studies, HCI/Computer Science, or other field emphasizing human behavior
Qualitative research experience; general knowledge of experimental design
Usability testing experience preferred- excellent observation, note taking and report writing skills
Detail-oriented and ability to work fairly independently on a variety of tasks
Strong written communication skills
